Carlos Banda De La Rosa
October 6, 1957 - February 26, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carlos Banda De La Rosa, age 67, of Dallas, Texas, who passed away on February 26, 2025. Carlos was born on October 6, 1957, in Matamoros, Mexico, to his loving parents Filomena Banda and Sabino De La Rosa.
Carlos was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Dolores De La Rosa, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories. Together, they built a family, and a life filled with love, joy, and laughter. He is survived by his children Fernando Vargas, Delicia De La Rosa, Monica De La Rosa, and her husband Roberto Cruz. Carlos is also survived by his sister Elvira Herrera, brother Francisco De La Rosa and their families.
Carlos was a man of great passion and skill. As a jack-of-all-trades at heart, he was known for his craftsmanship and the pride he took in his work. His hands built more than just structures-they created lasting legacies, from homes to memories shared with loved ones.
A lifelong Dallas sports fan, Carlos enjoyed watching the games and cheering for his team with his family by his side. He found joy in the simple things-family gatherings, good food and the love of his close-knit family.
Carlos's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his hard work, loyalty, sense of humor, and his unwavering love for his family. He was a beloved figure to all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life and offer their support to the De La Rosa family.
May he rest in peace.
Visitation will be at Jeter & Son Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday, March 4, 2025. A Gathering and Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the funeral home with a committal following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, Irving, Texas.
