Carlos Coleman, a highly decorated United States Army veteran, passed away peacefully in Beckley, West Virginia with his family by his side. He was a man of quiet strength, deep humility, and unwavering devotion-a man who loved God, his country, and his family.
Carlos proudly served in World War ll and the Korean War. His courage and sacrifice on the battlefield earned him two Purple Hearts, a lasting testament to his bravery and dedication.
A member of the Cotton Hill Baptist Church in Beckwith, West Virginia. Carlos loved the Lord and his life was a reflection of his faith and love to God and his loved one's.
Carlos was married to the love of his life, Dreama Coleman.
He was an exceptional mechanic- a man who could fix anything that was broken. Known for his gifted hands, Carlos was always ready to lend his time and talent to help a neighbor or friend. One of his favorite pastimes was spent with his lifelong friend Dennis Workman, at his shop.
One of his greatest joys was the companionship of his beloved dog Bandy, who remained faithfully by his side.
Carlos was preceded in death by his father, Henry Melvin Coleman; his mother, Thelma Pearl Williams Coleman; his daughters, Patricia Diane Coleman, Cathy Cedeno, Debra Weaver, and Denise Bryant; his son, Thomas Clark; his daughter-in-law, Georgia Gail Coleman; his brother, Howard Coleman; and his sisters, Helen Blosser, Peggy Brinson, Janie Foster, Drema Coen and Janice Pigg.
Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife, Dreama Coleman; his sons, Paul Coleman and Randy Clark (Becky); a daughter-in-law, Lisa Clark; his sisters, Shirley Harris and Sandy Atha (Chris); his grandchildren, Sarah Coleman, Brandon Clark, Shannon Covington, William Bryant, April Zemonek and Jeremy Weaver; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; a very special sister-in-law, Elaine Harrah; a cousin who was always there for him, Roma Lively (Judy); and special friends, Eddie and Nancy Workman and Jeff and Tanya Estes.
Carlos leaves behind a legacy of faith, honor and love.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all the staff at the Veterans Long Term Care.

Carlos and my dad fought together in the 7th ID in Korea. Carlos allowed me to visit for the past decade, which will remain my most memorable. God bless his soul and bring his family comfort.
