Carlos Hallas Obituary
Carlos Draven Mitchell Hallas, 23, of Houston, TX passed away May 30, 2025. He was born June 30, 2001 in Visalia, CA. Carlos is survived by his parents Michael Hallas of Houston, TX and Brandy Walker (Mercedes) of Columbus, OH; sisters Sophia (twin) of Columbus, OH and Brianna of Houston, TX; grandparents, Mitchell and Rosemary Walker; Aunt, Connie (Jermaine) Logan, Chelsey (Corey) Aitken and many, many aunts, cousins, and chosen family members. He is preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Faye and Gary Hallas; uncle, Donald Cook.
Carlos was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, devoted friend, and one of a few men in a female-dominated family. He was always protective of his beloved sisters Sophia and Brianna.
Carlos was a kind soul that put his all into helping others. His smile was infectious and the sound of his laugh we hope to never forget. His passions included sports (especially University of Michigan football) playing football, soccer, and basketball, going camping and fishing, and attending hydroplane boat races with his dad. He also enjoyed listening to and writing music, gaming, and walking his dog Ariyah. He was also interested in space and science/computer science.
Carlos graduated from Reynoldsburg ESTEM in 2019. He was a proud member of the Reynoldsburg Marching Band all 4 years of high school where he played percussion. Carlos made many life-long friends who will forever feel his absence in their life.
At 17, Carlos moved to Houston, TX to be closer to his father Michael and sister Brianna. He loved being in Houston because of its diverse culture. As a young adult, Carlos had become really good at cooking BBQ.
We were blessed to have Carlos for the years the Lord granted us. Our only comfort is knowing that Carlos is in heaven watching over us all until we meet again.
Memorial services will be held on June 27th 11am to 1 pm at O.R. Woodyard Funeral Home 1346 S. High Street Columbus, Ohio 43207. A graveside service will be held at Obetz Cemetery 4455 Groveport Rd., Obetz, Ohio 43207.
