Glenn proudly served in the United States Navy, demonstrating a commitment to his country that would continue throughout his life. After his military service, he worked as a coal miner for 22 years-a testament to his strength and perseverance. Later in life, he continued serving others as a correctional officer before retiring from that role.
A man of unwavering faith, Glenn was a devoted member of Garrett First Baptist Church. His love for the Lord was evident to all who spoke with him; it was clear that his Savior guided every step of his journey.
Glenn found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing and taking his boat out on the water often spending peaceful hours surrounded by nature. He enjoyed target shooting and was an avid football fan who especially loved cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Camping trips were another favorite pastime-opportunities for him to connect with loved ones and enjoy the outdoors.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Angela Hall Jarvis; his mother, Lana Turner Jarvis; his mother-in-law, Mary Hall; sons, Derick Leacy and Carlos Glenn Jarvis IV "CJ"; brothers, Shane Jarvis and Brian Jarvis; and grandchild, Hunter Leacy. Glenn's memory is also cherished by many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched deeply.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Glenn Jarvis Jr.; father-in-law, Alfred Hall; and sister, Samantha Welch Jarvis.
Glenn will be remembered for his steadfast faith, strong work ethic, love for the outdoors and the warmth he brought into every room. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
