Carlos Daniel Nicolas Medrano Murgueytio, age 55, passed away on December 5, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, surrounded by the love and support of his family. Born on September 10, 1970, in Lima, Peru, Carlos was known for his warm heart, generous nature, and unwavering commitment to both his loved ones and his professional journey. He lived a life filled with kindness, resilience, and joy — touching countless lives along the way.

Carlos spent his early years in Chincha, Peru, where he attended Colegio Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe for elementary school and later graduated from Colegio Industrial JFK. He continued his education at the Instituto San Ignacio de Loyola (ISIL) in Lima, establishing the foundation for an entrepreneurial future shaped by discipline, determination, and a strong work ethic. In 2000, Carlos made the courageous decision to migrate to the United States in pursuit of new opportunities. Through dedication and perseverance, he built a distinguished 25-year career in the restaurant industry. He joined La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant, where his commitment and leadership were quickly recognized. In 2004, he was promoted to manager—a role in which he excelled—and by 2009, he had earned a partnership and opened his own successful La Parrilla location in Norcross, GA. His journey from employee to owner reflects his vision, perseverance, integrity, and entrepreneurial spirit and dedication, transforming his career into an inspiring legacy of hard work and success in a foreign land.

Carlos was deeply proud of his Peruvian heritage and carried it with him throughout his life. He became a proud U.S. citizen in 2015 and later inherited Spanish citizenship in 2024, honoring his journey across cultures and nations. Even while building a life abroad, he remained firmly connected to the traditions, culture, and roots that shaped him. A man of many passions, Carlos loved to travel, explore new cultures, and experience the richness of the world. He brought joy wherever he went with his adventurous spirit and love for life. Among his greatest joys was dancing Marinera, the traditional Peruvian dance that captivated both his heart and talent. He participated in numerous competitions across Peru and the United States, earning admiration for his grace, talent, and vibrant spirit on the dance floor.

Carlos will be remembered not only for his accomplishments but for the way he lived—with warmth, integrity, and compassion. He was a loving and supportive husband to his partner in life, Antonio; a protective and caring brother to Jose, Alfredo, and Rocio; a devoted son to his beloved mother, Rocio; and despite having lost his father Daniel when he was only 12 years old, Carlos always carried him in his heart and kept the most loving memories of him, memories that guided his life and strengthened his spirit. He was also a proud, affectionate, and indulgent uncle who doted on Luciana, Carlitos, Daniel, Joaquin, and Danielito, as well as a joyful grand-uncle to little Gonzalo. His extended family was equally important to him, and he shared strong, loving bonds with his siblings-in-law Rina, Erika, and Dennis, who cherished him deeply. His generous soul left a lasting mark on all who knew him. He was an empowering and encouraging leader at work, a kind and fair boss respected by colleagues. A dedicated and honest employee trusted by his bosses and everyone he worked with. A loyal friend who gave freely of his time, support, and love, and a guiding presence whose positivity uplifted those around him. Carlos leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, achievement, and joy. His warmth, laughter, and spirit will live forever in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his beloved husband, Antonio, his siblings, Jose, Alfredo, and Rocio; his siblings-in-law, Rina, Erika, and Dennis; and his adored niece and nephews, Luciana, Carlitos, Daniel, Joaquín, and Danielito, as well as his treasured grandnephew, Gonzalo. He is reunited in heaven with his parents, Daniel and Rocio, and his grandparents, Carlos & Maruca, and Mario & Elvira, who welcome him into God’s eternal peace.

Carlos’s legacy is one of love shared freely across borders—through family bonds that endure despite distance and time; through friendships strengthened by laughter; through mentorship offered with patience; through dances performed with passion; through meals served with pride, and a life lived with purpose and joy. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him and lasting inspiration to all who admired him. HE WILL FOREVER REMAIN IN OUR HEARTS.
