Richard "Rick" Leger went home to Glory, December 8, 2025. He was attended by his precious wife Shirley, and son Christopher.
A Canadian by birth, Rick came to the United States with his family in 1955. He became a naturalized citizen and when he was old enough, he joined the United States Army to serve his country. After his service was over, Rick moved to Georgia where he continued his education, earning a degree in business. Rick never held to his Catholic upbringing but was brought to a relationship with God and was baptized on July 7th, 1977. From there, his life was lived to bring others to Christ and to model a Christian Walk for others.
Rick married Shirley in March of 1979, and they welcomed their only son Christopher in September of 1980. From start to finish, Rick was a faithful husband and a role model of role models to his son. Rick served God until his last day.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents and sister Susan. He is survived by his wife Shirley, Son Christopher and Daughter-in-law Carla, Grandson Alexander, his Brother Peter, Sister Fran, and their families.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at West Metro Church of Christ. The service will be live streamed via their Facebook page or a direct link.
Rick knew the Lord, and he wanted you to as well. The service led by Shepard Ricky Gray will honor Rick's life and give you a Peace that Passes All Understanding.
