Carlos Pineda Montoya

Carlos Pineda Montoya passed away on October 22, 2025 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Surrounded by the love of his family. A visitation will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, followed by a rosary at 6p.m. at West Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will take place after. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025 at San Jose Catholic, burial will take place after in Santa Catarina Cemetery
Carlos P. Montoya was born on March 18, 1986 in Carlsbad, New Mexico, to Usvaldo Montoya and Sally Montoya. Carlos was a very out door person. From a young age, he enjoyed riding horses, fishing, and hunting. As he got older, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Carlos took great pride in being an uncle and took an active role in the lives of his nieces and nephews.
He loved to tell stories, if you got to hear them you were very fortunate. He was the cake in the face family member. If it was your birthday and he was around everybody knew what was going to happen next. Carlos was blessed with his son Mason. Who was the light of his life. Carlos is remembered as the love of Audreys life, and Masons daddy.

Carlos was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, as well as his nephew Usvaldo (Gordo) Montoya III.
Survivors are his son Mason T. Montoya, Carlos's siblings: Nick and Angela Benedick and family: Ann Marie Pineda and family; Usvaldo Montoya Jr. and family; Rosario Montoya and family; Jerry and Esmeralda Carrasco and family; Manuel Montoya and family; Vanessa Montoya and family; Vincent and Kimberly Montoya Family Also Numerous Nieces and Nephews Aunts Uncles and family Friends.
