Carlos V. Rivera Sr., 79, of Plainview passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview
A rosary will be held at 6 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Carlos was born on November 7, 1945 to Casimiro and Venancia (Vasquez) Rivera. He married Consuelo Medina in Plainview, Texas on January 27, 1963. Carlos liked to watch Western movies, Texas Rangers baseball and Dallas Cowboys football. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Those to left to cherish his memory and keep his legacy alive are his children, Yolanda Rivera of Plainview, Roman Rivera & Wife Sonya of Mansfield, JoAnn Cheek & husband Jimmy of Abilene, Mary Landeros & husband Mario of Plainview, Carlos Rivera, Jr. of Plainview and Daniel Rivera of Lubbock; seventeen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Carlos is preceded in death by his parents, Casimiro & Venancia (Vasquez) Rivera; his wife, Consuelo Medina Rivera; his son David Rivera; his great granddaughter, A’Lindsey Mae Flores and his daughter in law, Maria (Landeros) Rivera.
