Carlotta Elaine Alexander passed from this life on August 7, 2025, at the age of 74 in Bristow, Oklahoma.
Carlotta was born on November 27, 1950, in Tillamook, Oregon, to Arthur and LaDean (Warren) Gibbons. As a young girl, she moved to Cleveland with her family. She began her education at Eastside School and graduated from Cleveland High School in the Class of 1969. After high school, she attended Draughons' Business School and married Raymond Alexander at the First Christian Church in 1970. They started their life together in Tulsa, where she worked at Metropolitan Life, before relocating back to Cleveland in 1974. In Cleveland, Carlotta held several positions, including Home Savings and Loan and as a drive-through teller at The Cleveland Bank. In 1993, she became the secretary at Cleveland High School, where she made many lifelong friendships with students and coworkers, ultimately retiring from Cleveland Public Schools in 2016 after over two decades. She also worked weekends as a waitress at the Hickory House for many years.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Carlotta dedicated much of her time to Cleveland Little League Baseball and Softball, supporting her children and grandchildren in various sports across the country. She enjoyed activities such as ceramics, playing Bunco and Bingo, crocheting, and participating in community beautification projects. Daily visits to Dari Diner for Pepsi breaks, and later Jack's Cherry Limeade were integral parts of her routine. In her later years, she switched to Sprite. Carlotta cherished her friendships with Linda, Jeri, Carolyn, and many others with whom she shared countless adventures.
Carlotta is survived by her husband Raymond, children Carla Freeman and her husband Raymond, Jeff Alexander and his wife Stacy, and Kim Alexander (her favorite), bonus daughters Jennifer Stringfellow and Katie Alexander. She is also survived by her sister Charlotte Lang and her husband Steve, and grandchildren Desmond and wife Mallory, Brendon and wife Sierra, Trevor, Raela, Zoey, Javon, Tinlee, Braylon, Nilson, Cruz, Kiara, Tavion, Jakobe, Bryson, Raeleigh, Daylon, Amelia, Jade, Aaron, Gigi, Syler, great grandchildren Harlow and Hudson as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
