Deedee Sue Bejcek passed from this world on August 20, 2025, on the farm near Hallett, OK, that her great-grandparents homesteaded over 130 years ago. Born May 27, 1949, to Frank and Elizabeth Bejcek, she was 76 at the time of her death.
Deedee worked hard her entire life. Her first job was at the Dari Diner in Cleveland, OK, where she attended high school and graduated in 1967. After the family moved to Stillwater, she became a waitress at the OSU student union coffee shop. She had very few jobs throughout her life as she was loyal to her jobs. She worked for many years at Central National Bank and many years at Hertz before leaving Oklahoma City to return to the Cleveland area. She worked at USAA in Tulsa for several years before joining Cleveland Area Hospital as their financial counselor until her retirement.
Deedee was one of the most loving people you could ever know. She cherished her family and loved being with them, especially on holidays. She loved playing board games and cards, especially Scrabble and Hand and Foot. When extended family came to visit, there were many times when everyone would gather around the table and play for hours.
Deedee was intelligent, bright, and well-read. She loved reading books, which were a regular gift to her on holidays. She loved and cared for others more than herself. When she told you that she loved you, you knew that she meant it. She had a beautiful smile that made her eyes light up. We will miss her every day until we see her again.
She is survived by her sisters; Martha Wiesendanger of Tuttle, OK, Cindy Bejcek near Hallett, OK, Frankie Turner (Mike) near Hallett, OK; nephews Preston Wiesendanger, Noah Wiesendanger (Ela), Michael Turner (Kelsey), niece Pamela Stokes (Shane); and great-nieces and nephews Hunter, Callie, Cameron, and Elizabeth Stokes, Reid Turner, and Caleb and Genesis Wiesendanger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elizabeth Bejcek, her brother Paul Bejcek, and her brother-in-law Paul Wiesendanger. Interment will be at Bethany Cemetery in Hallett, OK at a later date.
