Dennis Wayne Harvey passed from this life on February 15, 2026, at the age of 69 in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Dennis was born on September 8, 1956, in Lynwood, California. Dennis was the son of Charles Edward and Billie Jo (Thurman) Harvey. Dennis initially started school in Valinda, California, and later moved to Oklahoma in 1971. Dennis attended school in Cleveland and later completed his education in Mannford. Following high school, Dennis attended Vo-Tech, learning the trade of plumbing and brick masonry. On April 10, 1976, Dennis married Becky Frazier. Following their marriage, they went fishing at Lake Tenkiller. Dennis always mentioned it was the best crappie fishing ever. Dennis initially worked as a machinist before finishing his career as a plumber after over 50 years in the business.
Dennis always enjoyed camping, fishing, drive-in movies, and skating at the Mohawk roller rink. As a child, he loved playing Pop Warner football. Later in life, Dennis coached his boys for many years and enjoyed playing football with them. Whether camping at the beach or relaxing in the mountains, these were his favorite vacation spots. He often recalled his trip to the three-day music festival in Sedalia, Missouri, and frequently talked about how "Karma is Real."
Survivors are his three sons, Dennis Harvey, II, and his wife, Alyson, Scott Harvey and his wife, Kimberly, Brad Harvey; two siblings, Ed Harvey and his wife, Karen, Anita Tabor, and her husband, Kenny; seven grandchildren, five nieces, five nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Harvey and Billie Edmonson, his daughter, Shelly Harvey, and his two brothers, Kevin Harvey and Mike Harvey.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Harvey officiating. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Dennis at www.chapman-black.com.
