Carmel M. Boissonneau, 90, formerly of Amherst and Nashua, died June 16, 2023 at Hanover Hill Health Care, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester on December 26, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Jeanette (Bergeron) Laplante. She was educated in Manchester and was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School. She worked as an office manager for many years for various companies before retiring from Sullivan, Greg and Horton in 1998.
Carmel enjoyed traveling, sewing, playing scrabble and residing in Florida during the winter with her husband. She also loved her cats. Carmel was very strong willed and resilient. She had unconditional love and support for those closest to her. Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Carmel was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Henry U. Boissonneau, in 2015.
She is survived by her three sons, John Boissonneau of Walpole, Paul Boissonneau of Gainesville, GA and Roger Boissonneau and wife Carol of Hampton; and three grandchildren, Roger Boissonneau of Berlin, Eryn Boissonneau of Plymouth and Noah Cass of Wilton. She was also predeceased by one daughter, Jane Boissonneau in 2004; one sister, Irene Strykowski, and one brother, Roger Laplante.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, June 20th at Parish of Transfiguration, 107 Alsace Street, Manchester, NH 03102. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Animal Rescue League, 545-Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110.
