Funeral services for Carmel Hall Goodrow, 94, of Natchitoches, LA will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, May 5, 2025 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Grace officiating. Interment will follow in Central Cemetery, Robeline, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 A.M. until service time on Monday at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home, Coushatta, LA.
Robert Lee and Allie Hubbard Hall welcomed Carmel into the world in Robeline, LA on Sunday, May 25, 1930. She was called to her Heavenly home on Friday, May 2, 2025.
During her years on earth, she enjoyed cooking, baking and making sure everyone had plenty to eat and never went hungry. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds of all kinds, listening to Gospel music and Conway Twitty. Her love for her family was unmeasurable. She loved spending time with her grands and spoiling each of them.
Carmel was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Allie Hall; husband, John L. Goodrow; son, Ronald Goodrow; daughter, Shirley Clark; grandson, Ronald Clark Jr.; great grandson, Brandon Clark and her siblings, Claudie Lee Bryant, Sadie Mae Bryant, Odell Berry, Douglas Hall and Helen Starnes.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved brothers, R.C. Hall and W.D. Hall; grandchildren, Lonnie Goodrow (Lucie), Shelia Clark, Rodney Goodrow (Melanie) and Tabatha Goodrow; twelve great-grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Carmel was known as "Maw" to everyone and will be greatly missed by each life she has left behind. In Revelation 21:4 it states "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, sorrow or pain." Maw would hope those who are grieving will remember those words and place your lives in God's hands so that you will find peace in her time of glory.
Pallbearers will be Scott Robinson, Joseph Cothran, Aaron Jacobs, Jason Robinson, Jon Goodrow, and Ethan Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Tristan Metoyer and Riley Goodrow.
