Carmel J. Mooney

Carmel Josephine Mooney, 84 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2025. She was born in Dublin, Ireland the daughter of Henry Jones and Josephine Curley Jones. She moved to Melbourne, Florida in 1973 from Dublin, Ireland and then to Kissimmee, Florida in 1975 from Melbourne, Florida. She was a waitress at the Waffle House Restaurant in Kissimmee, Florida for many years. She was also a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee, Florida.
Carmel is survived by her sons: David G. Mooney and his wife Lucibell of Kissimmee, Florida, Eamon F. Mooney of Saint Cloud, Florida; her brothers: Harry Jones, Dessy Jones, Cyril Jones and Michael Jones all of Dublin, Ireland; her sisters: Angela Martin and Bridget Walsh both of Dublin, Ireland; and one grandchild: Keely Mooney.
The family of Carmel Josephine Mooney will receive friends on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 4:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1603 North Thacker Ave., Kissimmee, Florida 34741 with Father Archie Faustino as Celebrant. Carmel will be laid to rest next to her husband, Edward Mooney at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee, Florida following the Mass.
