Carmen L. Arce

Carmen L. Arce, a longtime resident of Beacon, entered into rest on October 2, 2025. She was 74 years old.

Carmen was born on May 29, 1951 in Aguada, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Gregorio Arce and Patria Burgos. She dedicated her life to her family. Those closest to her will always remember her as beautiful soul, deeply compassionate and incredibly giving. She was always putting others before herself. Being the matriarch of the family, her home was the gathering place for dinners, holiday celebrations and family get-togethers. Her happiness came from baking and cooking all of the meals they loved but her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her beloved children, grandchildren, and life-long partner Jose A. Diaz.

Carmen is survived by her children Mario Arce (Magaly), Liza Diaz, Zina Ross (Zachary), and Milagros Diaz. She is also survived by her sister Mercedes Arce, brothers Gregorio Arce, Ronaldo Arce, Florencio Arce, Jorge Arce, and grandchildren Andrew Arce, Ariana Arce, Isaiah Julien, Anastacia Ozkurt, Aydin Ozkurt, Zachary Ross, Jr., and Mila Frett. She was predeceased by her brothers Carlos Arce and Gilbert Arce.

Her presence and benevolence will be deeply missed by everyone, including her four-legged grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather on Monday, October 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon, with a funeral service at 3:30 p.m.
