Carmeta Charolett Smith, 88, died Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Battlement Mesa, Colorado, with family by her side. She was born on November 28, 1936, in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, the daughter of Earnest and Iceland (Morris) Wallar.

Carmeta was a very godly women, to her very core. She was saved at the age of 10. Later, she helped lead her husband to Christ, becoming saved in February 1958. During her last days, Carmeta spread the gospel and helped lead several people to the Lord.
Carmeta was an amazing artist and especially enjoyed oil painting. Her hobbies also included: Crocheting, knitting, crafts, reading and fishing with her husband (but he had to have distance between them due to her hooking his cheek once). She spent her life writing down Bible verses, sharing them, and always speaking to God in every given situation. Her favorite hobby was reading. During the last of her time, she spent most of it reading the Bible and her collection of books.
Carmeta became a Grandmama in 1973. She dedicated most of her summers to spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed having them visit every summer, sometimes all summer to go on vacations, shopping, fishing, riding paddle boats, visiting Aunt LaVoy's horses, going to every park imaginable, taking them to art classes and teaching them about Christ.
Carmeta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Monte Smith; daughter, Kay Anderson; son, Mark Smith; 3 grand babies; great-grandsons, Payton and Lil Mark.
