Carmon Bishop Adams

Carmon Bishop Adams, 78, of Greer, South Carolina went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 10, 2023.
She was born in Taylors, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Fred James and Margret Phillips Bishop. She was a lifelong member of Fairview Baptist Church where she was an active member of Sunday School, Women on Missions, and the choir. Carmon was often a soloist with an unforgettable voice. Carmon worked in Customer Service at American Federal Bank. She later worked at Sarah Collins Elementary School as an aide for disabled children. She volunteered at the Greer Community Ministries in various capacities.
Carmon is survived by her husband of 59 years, Eugene Lee Adams; a daughter, Stacey (Bill) Adams Merck; two grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Merck and Travis Merck; and three great-grandchildren, Mallory, Marley, and Arrie Rose.
She was also predeceased by a brother, Fred Mark Bishop.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Fairview Baptist Church, with Dr. Gene Lockaby officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
