Mountain City Funeral HomeCarness “Butch” Wilson, age 79, of Lenoir, NC went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, October 6, 2025 at his home. He was born January 9, 1946 to the late Carness Wilson Sr. and Louise Bixel Wilson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Martha Jane Barlowe Wilson; son, Daniel Matthew Wilson; and brothers, Donald Wilson, Randy Isenhour, and David Isenhour.
Butch was a Master Carver most of his life. He enjoyed watching Nascar and going to car shows. He loved his family and spending time with them was his favorite thing to do.
Those left to cherish his memories include his son, Kenneth Wilson; sisters, Cheryl Alexander (Ronnie), Beverly Lopez (David), and Francel Noriega; special friend, Lena Bumgardner; his dog, Bub; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens with Dan Greene to officiate.
