Carol Maye Adams, 96, of Machesney Park, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 20, 1928, in Benton, WI, to Earl and Glada (Horsley) Hocking. Carol married John J. Adams on February 17, 1951. They spent 72 years together, until his passing on January 9, 2024. She attended Bowling Green University and was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Outside of raising fourteen children, Carol was a teacher, working at New Milford Grade School, as well as St. Bridget Catholic School for 17 years before her retirement in 1995.

Predeceased by her parents, her siblings, Irwin, Marilyn and Beverly.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park with Monsignor Steve Knox officiating, Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the time of Mass at the church on Tuesday. A luncheon will be held at Lino’s Ristorante, East State St. and Arnold Av. at 2:00 P.M.
