Carol Ann Amyotte

Carol Ann Amyotte, age 76 of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2024.

Memorial service will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street S., Cottage Grove with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Carol Ann Amyotte was born February 3, 1948 in New Ulm, Minnesota to Jacob and Angelina Lindmeyer. After graduating from New Ulm High School, she attended school in Duluth where she obtained her certification to work as an Occupational Therapist's Assistant. Her first job brought her to Hastings where she worked at the State Hospital. While living in St. Paul, she met Louis Amyotte and they were united in married in 1968. They lived in St. Paul for a few more years before relocating to Cottage Grove in 1975.

Carol's passion for working with her hands was really seen in her love for quilting. She succeeded in creating a quilt for everyone in her family and in later years she began making memory bears from t-shirts and other fabric. Carol was also a member of the Eastern Star where she found her niche as a cook for many of their events.

Carol is survived by her husband Louis; daughter Anne Thunder; son David (Beth) Amyotte; 5 grandchildren that she adored in addition to 18 great-grandchildren that brought joy to her life. Also surviving are her sister Sharon Schiltz; brother David (Nancy) Lindmeyer and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Joseph and parents Jacob and Angelina Lindmeyer.
