Carol Lynn Anger

Carol Lynn Anger, 65, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024, at the Bailey Family Center for Caring, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 29, 1958, in Riverside, California, Carol was the cherished daughter of the late Darrell "Joe" and Fay Couchenour. Her father's distinguished 23-year career in the Air Force meant a childhood filled with travel, as the family moved frequently.
Carol graduated from Gateway High School in Aurora, Colorado, in 1976 and went on to pursue her passion for beauty by attending beauty school. Her professional journey began at Safeway grocery store in Denver, Colorado, where she started as a deli manager and later advanced to the role of Deli/Bakery Supervisor. It was at Safeway where she met her future husband, Jeff, in 1980.
Carol and Jeff built their life together in Denver, Colorado, where they raised their family before moving to Georgia, then to Palm Coast for eight years, and ultimately settling in St. Augustine in 2006. Carol was known for her adventurous spirit and love for motorcycling, frequently riding Harleys with Jeff. Their shared passion for travel led them to explore 47 of the 50 states, creating countless cherished memories along the way.
An avid participant in her daughters' lives, Carol was deeply involved in their education, often serving as a "Room Mom" and contributing to their school activities with enthusiasm and dedication.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Anger; daughter, Jennifer Cooke (Doug); grandchildren, Ryanne and Kyler; sisters, Cathy Melone (Ed) and Debbie Sachs (Marc); best friends, Lisa Lee and Nance Guthrie and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Andrea Anger.
A visitation will be held from 11-1 pm at St. Johns Family Funeral Home.
