Carol Ann Brown Anthony peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on November 3, 2025. Born in West Point, Mississippi, on September 21, 1948, she was the beloved daughter of Cathryn Harris Teasley Brown and Sam Jones Brown.

Carol Ann spent her early years in West Point, Greenville, and Vicksburg before her family settled in Glen Allan, Mississippi. She graduated from Glen Allan High School in 1966, where she was a standout student and athlete. During her high school years, she played basketball, led the girls' drill team as captain her senior year, and earned numerous accolades including Miss Glen Allan High School, Hall of Fame, Beta Club President, Class Officer, and multiple basketball awards.

Following high school, Carol Ann attended Delta State University for her freshman year. On June 4, 1967, she married the love of her life, William Stanley Anthony. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Mississippi State University in 1970.

Carol Ann and Stanley made their home in Greenville, Mississippi, where she was deeply involved in the community. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, Southern Garden Club, Belhaven Garden Club, and a life member of the Greenville Junior Auxiliary. She generously tutored math to many students and was passionate about tennis-serving as team captain, a certified USTA official, and secretary of the Mississippi Tennis Association for many years.

Known for her warmth and hospitality, Carol Ann was an exceptional cook and a talented artisan in English smocking and French hand sewing. A loyal supporter of Mississippi State athletics, especially baseball, she proudly attended games and the College World Series. In a special tribute to the 2021 championship team, she embroidered individual baseballs for each player.

After retirement, Carol Ann and Stanley moved to Madison, Mississippi, to be closer to their children and grandchildren. She remained active in First Baptist Church of Madison and continued to build cherished friendships through tennis, playing on two teams at the time of her passing. Her love for entertaining shone through in her annual Colonial Williamsburg-style Christmas celebrations, complete with a grand Christmas tree. She had a special way of bringing every Christmas to life with beautiful decor, carefully adorned tables, and exquisite home cooking. She visited Williamsburg every year for the past 55 years and enjoyed traveling to Europe and Australia.

Carol Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Sam (1988) and Cathryn Brown (2023), and her brother George Milton Brown (2012). She is survived by her devoted husband of 58

years, Stanley; her children: William Stanley Anthony, Jr. (Kristin) of Huntsville, AL, and their children Morgan and Brandon; Steven Scott Anthony (Ashley) of Brandon, MS, and their children Sam and Paxton; and Dr. Amy Cathryn Spinks (Randy) of St. Francisville, LA, and their children Andrew, Haden, Joseph, Caroline, and Caleb.

Carol Ann will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Madison, MS (2100 Main Street). Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with interment at Parkway Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Ridgeland (1161 Highland Colony Parkway).
