Carol Ann Ariens, 86, Oneida, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, October 18, 2025.
She was born September 25, 1939, in Younkers, New York to the late John and Margaret (Augustine) Sromovsky.
Carol graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Younkers. After graduating from Marian College with a bachelor's degree in education, Carol taught elementary school in Younkers until she met the love of her life Thomas F. Ariens. They were united in marriage on July 1, 1967.
Being a wife and mom always came first to Carol. A devout Catholic, Carol was a member of St. Patrick's Oratory – Institute of Christ the King, Green Bay. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, and until covid, looked forward to reading to the students at Aldo Leopold School.
Carol is survived by her children, Lisa Sheehan, Stephen Ariens, Molly (Peter) Scofield, her grandson Thomas Scofield, her sister Barbara (Jack Johnson) Mott, brother-in-law Steve Ariens, as well as nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Thomas, and son-in-law Terry.
