Carol N. Baker (nee Zeschke), 79 years old, of Plano, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Carol was the loving and devoted wife of Robert D. Baker Sr.; beloved daughter of the late Edwin C. and Vlasta Zeschke (nee Holik); cherished mother of Belinda (Leo J.) Gustas and Robert Jr. Carol was a wonderful, caring grandmother to her six grandchildren; children of Belinda Gustas (nee Baker); Alexis J. and Elizabeth Gustas; children of Robert D. Baker Jr., Jade, Niko, Candice and Dominic Baker and great granddaughter Aviah Martinez (nee Baker), daughter of Jade Baker. Carol is survived by many sisters-in-law, cousins and friends.

Born and raised in Berwyn, IL, was married and resided in Downers Grove, Naperville, Lisle and Plano IL, along with Eagle River WI. Her passion for caring for animals was pervasive during her entire life as she owned numerous dogs, a few cats, a horse, alligator and birds! She would take in any stray and was fond of dogs from shelters or strays. She loved to feed all animals, even the wild ones! There was never a bird, squirrel, deer or turtle that went hungry. Carol loved her colors, with purple being her favorite. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. She will be remembered for her smile, laughter and kindness. Carol will be deeply missed by all who have known her.

Visitation Saturday October 25, 2025 from 1-5 P.M. at Cappetta's West Suburban Funeral Home 4920 Main St., Downers Grove. Interment private. Info 630-852-8000 or westsuburbanfh.com
