Carol Beloff, 83, of Eagle River, Wisconsin, passed away on September 20, 2023. She was born on May 25, 1940, in Monroe, Wisconsin, to the late Vera and Ernest Miller.
Anyone who knew Carol knew she would have preferred to write her own obituary but was far too busy for such things. Carol was certainly not expecting to be carried away by the change of the season. Always busy living life, loving her family, or experimenting with new recipes to cook for family friends or her loving pets. One thing she was always spot on with was deleting the 100's of spam emails, catching up with Facebook friends, the news and cocktail time with her friends and family.
Carol, was a kind, strong, and fiercely loving woman. She grew up in a gentler, simpler time, developing a passion for ballet, oil painting, and playing classical piano which lasted her lifetime. Breaking barriers in the late 1950's Carol pursued higher education after high school, ultimately finding her passion in theology and philosophy. She became an amazing woman, mother, and friend, raising three children while immersing herself in the Florida Parent Teachers Association. Her dedication and hard work led her to the position of Vice President of the Dade and Broward County Florida School Board. Carol was always passionate about education and personal growth.
In the late 1970s, Carol and her husband Barry moved their family from Miami, Florida, back to Carol's home state of Wisconsin. They settled in the Northwoods of Three Lakes and, with determination, created Serendipity Resort and restaurant. Carol fell in love with the lifestyle and people of Three Lakes, spending the rest of her life surrounded by family, friends, her beloved trees, and wildlife.
Carol is survived by her three children, Kimberly L. Jack, Lisabeth L. Jack (Shelle), and Robert C. Beloff (Brenda); two grandchildren, Jessica S. Beloff-Miller and Cade Beckwith-Beloff; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera and Ernest Miller, as well as her late husbands, James Jack and Barry Beloff, and her grandson, Benjamin Beloff.
A Celebration of Life service will be held to honor Carol's memory on September 30, 2023 at Don Burnside Park in Three Lakes, WI. from 1pm to 5pm.
May Carol's legacy of love and dedication continue to inspire us all.
Any donations can be sent to Kim Jack at PO Box 1643 Eagle River, WI 54521
