Obituary of Carol Edna Bilbo
Carol Edna Bilbo passed away peacefully on November 16, 2022. She was 67 years old.
Carol was born on July 8, 1955 in Oliver Springs, Tennessee to parents Helen and Luther Henley. She received a Graphic Design degree from Midlands Tech, and was a wonderful artist and a talented painter whose art is even featured in galleries in Europe. Carol loved animals, especially horses and dogs, but had a special place in her heart for her German Shepard, Bojangles. She is described as a true Southern woman. Everyone to Carol was her "sugar," "baby," or "honey." She loved to decorate cakes and to cook, and is described as a "measure with your heart" Southern cook. Carol is remembered for her love and warmth to all, but especially to her grandson, Landon, who was her pride and joy. She loved going to his football games and loved all of his friends. She was a "gammy and mama to all." She also enjoyed reading, especially Nicholas Sparks novels, and watching old movies with her husband, Dale.
Carol will be missed by her loving husband of 30 years, Dale Bilbo. She is also survived by daughter, Christy Shipley; grandson, Landon Shipley; her siblings; and numerous other special family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 28th at 2pm at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, with a visitation one hour prior. A graveside committal will immediately follow the chapel service.
