Carol F. Bredeson, 83, of Willmar, died Thursday, April 11th at St. Cloud Hospital. Her funeral will be 11:00 am, Friday, April 19th at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar with visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. www.hafh.org(
Carol was born August 13, 1940, in Granite Falls, MN, the daughter of Elmer and Ruth (Taber) Larson. She was baptized December 24, 1940 in Hector and confirmed on October 3, 1954. Her family moved to Willmar in 1941, where she attended Garfield Elementary School and graduated from Willmar High School on May 29, 1958.
On November 29, 1958, she was united in marriage to Charles Bredeson at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar where they have remained members since. Carol worked as the breakfast managar for McDonalds for over 20 years before retiring in 1999.
In the community, she volunteered as a Girl Scouts Leader and at Bethel Lutheran Church she was active as a secretary, treasurer and member of WELCA, accompanied the Joyful Singers, played with the Jubilant Ringers and served on the Worship and Music Committee. Carol also was a release time and Bible school teacher and coordinated Meals on Wheels. She also enjoyed quilting.
Surviving are her husband, Charles; son, Donald Bredeson of St. Peter and daughter, Janet (Jason) Smude of Brainerd; seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Kenneth (Mary) Larson of Ironwood, Phyllis (Jon) Evert of Comstock and Curtis (Mavis) Larson of Wester, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and George Overton.
