In Loving Memory of Carol Jeanne Butcher

Carol Jeanne Butcher, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, and faithful servant of Jesus, passed away peacefully on September 20th, 2025. Her life reflected grace, strength, unwavering love and deep faith.

She is survived by her children, Sheri, Scott, Darell, Keith, and Nedda, all of whom she loved deeply and wholeheartedly. Her heart overflowed with joy for her seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness. She also adored her many nieces and nephews, always trying to make each one feel uniquely special.

She is also survived by her siblings - brother Donald and sisters Patsy, Shirley, Janice, and Jacky - and is now reunited with her husband Gordon and sister Judy in heaven, in eternal peace.

Carol spent over 20 years working at Portland Community College (PCC) as a Lead Payroll Specialist / Supervisor. She was known for her dedication, reliability, and the care she brought to her work and colleagues.

Outside of work, Carol, was a woman of many talents and enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was especially fond of making bun-warmers, kitchen items and an occasional quilt, and she found joy in caring for her plants, flowers, and vegetable garden. Her creativity and attention to detail were evident in everything she did and made.

Her faith in Jesus Christ guided her life. She lived with purpose, kindness, and gratitude, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Carol's life will be held in the Spring of 2026. Family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the life she lived.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to https://themmrf.org in Carol's honor - a cause close to her heart and the disease she faced with courage for 14 years.
