Carol Lee Cable

Carol Cable, 85, of Hampstead, Maryland, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born in Manlius, New York, Carol's early years shaped her adventurous spirit and steadfast character. In her early adulthood, she took to the skies as a stewardess for Mohawk Airlines, sharing her warm hospitality with countless travelers. After marriage, she moved to Maryland, where she lived for 61 years. During that time, she raised her two daughters and turned her talents to healthcare, serving as a trusted dental assistant to Dr. Stephen Littman and later as a skilled optician for Hampstead Optical and Center for Total Eyecare. Carol and her husband moved to Wilmington, NC in November of 2024. Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Barney Cable, her two daughters, Carolyn Kleman of Wilmington, NC, and Emma Cable-Carter of Houston, TX, and seven cherished grandchildren, who each carry forward her legacy of kindness, creativity, and resilience. Known for her signature denim skirt and an impeccable sense of style, Carol filled her world with beauty. Her flourishing backyard garden, her thoughtful home design, and her fashionable collection of distinctive eyewear were but a few of the ways she expressed her artistry. Carol found joy in the simple and profound: nurturing her garden, creating stained glass masterpieces, and losing herself in the pages of historical fiction. Each hobby reflected her love for craftsmanship, history, and nature's quiet wonders. Those who knew Carol will remember her not only for her talents, but for her unwavering friendship, gentle humor, and the way she made every space - and every heart - feel more at home. Carol leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know her.
