Carol Cantalupo, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025 at the age of 86. She leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and cherished family memories.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on March 11, 1938, Carol spent her early years next door to the love of her life, Donald A. Cantalupo. She graduated from North Arlington High School in 1956. Don and Carol's lifelong bond began in childhood, growing into a beautiful marriage that spanned 66 years. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. They later moved to Ohio before settling in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, in 1984.
Carol had an entrepreneurial spirit and a keen sense of style, owning and operating a successful dress shop, Country Casuals, in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. Later, she built a career in real estate, earning recognition as an award-winning agent at Watson Realty in Ponte Vedra, FL. Her dedication and warm personality made a lasting impact on her family, clients, and colleagues.
Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Darlene F. Jones, and her parents, Nicholas and Mildred Hutter. She is survived by her husband, Donald A. Cantalupo; her son, Donald N. Cantalupo; and her adored grandchildren, Allie, Bradley, and BJ. Some of her fondest memories were traveling with her grandchildren, taking them on road trips through 25 U.S. states and creating lasting adventures along the way. She and Donald also shared a passion for exploring the world together, visiting more than 20 countries and embracing the cultures, food, and experiences that each destination had to offer.
Her spirit of warmth, kindness, and love for family will forever be treasured. A celebration of her life will be held on February 24, 2025, at Ponte Vedra Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s in her honor.
