Carol Eve Contreras, 85, of Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood, formerly of Chicago's East Rogers Park and Uptown, Chicago Heights, Harvey and Los Angeles CA, after a short illness passed on March 27, 2025. Adored mother of Wendy Ann (Joe Mahoney) Scharland and Hugh Michael (Kateryna Tkachenko) Scharland. Cherished grandmother of Solange, Liam and Davis. Beloved sister of Kip and Judy. Dear aunt of Elizabeth, John and the late Michael. Fond friend to many. Longtime administrative assistant. A celebration of life is pending at a later date and time.
