Carol Curtis Obituary

Carol A. Curtis

On Friday, October 25, 2024, Carol A. Curtis got her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was born December 4, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Dorothy (Page) Periat and Raymond Periat. Her father unfortunately passed away early in her life, so Carol was raised by her mother, whom she dearly loved.

Carol was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Curtis, whom she was married to for over 50 years. Much loved mother of Andrew (Linda) Curtis, Metamora, OH, and Anthony (Kelly) Curtis, Toledo, OH. Cherished grandmother (affectionately called "Gma") of Caitlin (David) Berg, Jessica (JP) Nichols, Johnathan (Taylor) Curtis, and Eric Curtis. Treasured great grandmother of Adley and Georgia Berg. Carol's brother, James (Val) Periat, preceded her in death.

Carol attended Davis Junior College after her boys were grown, where she received an associate degree in medical assisting. She loved to sew and was a perfectionist in getting everything perfect. She was strong willed and stubborn at times, but she also had an enormous heart. She was an exemplary mother, grandmother, and human being. She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love and strength of spirit.

When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before her. We grieve Carol's loss but take comfort knowing that Carol and Raymond are together again. She will be missed dearly and forever in our hearts.

Family and friends may visit Christ the King Church, Toledo, Ohio, for visitation on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 9:30 a.m., with a Mass of Resurrection following. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Toledo, Ohio. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.walkerfuneralhome.com.

Sorry for your loss Andy and Tony (and your families). I remember her being so nice and putting up with all of our neighborhood shenanigans. She even put up with Tony's trumpet playing! May she rest in peace as she lived a full life and raised a great family, along with Mr. Curtis. We have great memories of her. God bless you all!
