Carol was born on March 4th, 1947, on a snowy night in
Hampstead, Maryland, to her parents Arthur and Theresa (Czawlytko) Cooper.
In her youth, Carol took great pride in her schooling and excelled in her academic courses at North Carroll High School, where she graduated in 1965. After high school, Carol began her professional career by working in accounts receivable at Black and Decker.
Carol married Jack Davis on August 5, 1967, and the two were happily married for 58 years. The couple enjoyed camping, traveling, playing Pinochle, and getting together with friends and family.
Upon the birth of her children, Laura and Brian, Carol became a stay-at-home mom and was always happy to support her children by attending basketball games, Little League games, as well as Boy and Girl Scout activities. Carol became active in Girl Scouts as a leader, then as Community Director. She cherished her time with the scouts, dedicating herself to her leadership roles. Carol's time with the scouts invited new friendships and created lasting memories that she would treasure for years to come. Her next career endeavor was as a bank teller. This job was truly her passion. Carol dearly loved the customers and the people she worked with. Before retirement, Carol worked as an office manager for a local physical therapy company.
Carol was active in her church community at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in
Palm Bay, Florida, for many years. She was a member of numerous Bible study groups, a teacher for Religious Education and Vacation Bible School, and she aided many causes through her volunteer work with the church. After moving to Barefoot Bay, Carol found a new church community at St. Luke's, where she made even more friends in her new circle of faith.
Everyone who knew Carol also knew her love for crafts. From needlepoint, cross-stitch, and sewing, to ceramics, scrapbooking, and photography, her creativity knew no bounds. Her family and friends were gifted with the many beautiful items she so lovingly made. Carol shared this love of crafting with her three granddaughters who now have become crafters as well. She also enjoyed cooking delicious homemade meals for her family and baking scrumptious desserts for many special occasions and get-togethers.
Carol is survived by her husband Jack, daughter Laura Yarbrough (Craig), son Brian Davis (Gaby), and granddaughters Rebecca Broussard (Bram), Erin Boyd (Briggs), and Lily Yarbrough. She is also survived by her cherished great-grandson, Leon Boyd.
