With heavy hearts and grateful souls, we share the news of Carol Lea Deibel’s departure from this world on November 2, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on September 29, 1950, in Greeley, CO, to George Hoke and Florence Waddell. Carol was a luminous thread woven through the tapestry of the Hoke and Deibel family, touching several lives with a grace that will forever linger.
In every season of her journey, Carol embodied kindness and quiet strength. She moved through life as a steady breeze—determined, loving, and always present.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Paul Deibel; daughters, Danetta Deibel and Krista Yates (Chris Yates); stepsons, Clifford Deibel Jr. (Cheryl Deibel) and Daniel Deibel; five grandchildren, Jessica & Chase Deibel, Kylee Koch, Kaelyn & Delaney Yates; siblings, Estella Moll and Conrad Hoke, as well as several nieces, nephews, as she was 1 of 7 siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Hoke Sr. and Florence Waddell; stepfather, Piert Waddell; and four of her siblings, Elnora Lenhart, George Hoke Jr., Phyllis Kaufman, and Maraline Davenport; who now welcome Carol home to unending peace.
All whose lives were brightened by Carol Deibel, are invited to a gathering of remembrance in the Spring of 2026.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to NOCO Humane Weld Campus in Carol’s name, continuing the legacy of her love of animals.
The family would like to recognize the staff at UCHealth for their kindness and heartfelt acts of service for Carol and her immediate family in her final days.
May her friends and family carry forward her thoughtfulness, courage, and joy as a lantern against sorrow. Rest in peace to this devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; your story is written in the hearts of all who loved you.
