Carol S. Doherty, 74, of Janesville, Wisconsin was received into the loving arms of her Lord on September 28, 2022. Carol was born in Janesville, Wisconsin on January 21, 1948 to Albert and Violet (Neal) Henry. She married Joseph Doherty on May 20, 1973 in Janesville. Joseph passed away in September of 2007.
Carol had previously worked at Parker Pen and Green Giant. She took up dog-sitting in her retirement. Aunt Carol, as she was known to the campers, worked at Camp Joy in Whitewater. It was a position that gave her great happiness allowing her to help other campers and serve the Lord.
Always keeping busy, Carol enjoyed watching college football and doing puzzles. It was her faith and devotion to the Lord that she drew strength from. Carol read her Bible every day.
Carol is survived by her siblings: Melody Westby (John) of Minnesota, Lester Henry (Linda) of Augusta, Wisconsin and Chester Henry (Gail) of Evansville, Wisconsin; her nieces: Leah Osborne (Jeff) of Edgerton, Wisconsin, Sandra Henry and Samantha Henry, both of Augusta, Wisconsin; her nephews: Shane Henry (Amanda) of Janesville, Wisconsin, Craig Fryda (Jackie) of Edgerton, Wisconsin and Carl Fryda (Heather) of Milton, Wisconsin. She will also be missed by many great nieces and nephews, as well as friends both near and far.
Carol is predeceased by her husband, her parents, nephew, Jacob Henry, brother, Edwin Henry and sister in law, Patricia Henry.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11:00 am at Milton Lawns Memorial Park in Janesville, Wisconsin. A visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service at the Memorial Park.
