Carol Ann Dunbar, 69, of Hart, Missouri, passed away on August 19, 2024, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, following a sudden illness. Born on November 27, 1954, in Petaluma, California, Carol was the beloved daughter of Waldo and Karen (Mason) Fischer.
On September 25, 1971, Carol married the love of her life, Clifford Allan Dunbar, in Standard, California. Their journey together spanned over five decades. In 1997, they relocated from California to the Hart community near Seneca, Missouri, where they built a new life surrounded by family and friends.
Carol retired three years ago from Americold, where she worked as a dedicated forklift driver. Known for her love of animals and the joy she found in spending time with her grandchildren, Carol's greatest passion was caring for her family.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Allan Dunbar; her children: Lori (Greg) Baker of Sandpoint, Idaho; Clifford Benjamin (Rachael) Dunbar of Neosho, Missouri; Nathan Allan (Stacie) Dunbar of Seneca, Missouri; and Christy (John Jr.) Hipple of Joplin, Missouri. Carol was a proud grandmother to Taylor, Wyatt, Madison, Mary, Bella, Truman, Noah, Caleb, and Lydia. She is also survived by her brother Jerry (Wendy) Fischer of Sonora, California, her sister Janet (Lester) Lingo of Tuolumne, California, and her mother Karen Fischer of Hart, Missouri.
A private family service will be held to honor Carol's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
