Mrs. Carol E. Edwards, age 81 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025 in a Rome hospital.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Lindale, Georgia on December 10, 1943, daughter of the late Earnest Allen and Eva Brown Allen. She was a member of the Summerville First Baptist Church and had moved to the area from Forest Park in 2005. Prior to her retirement, she was self employed as a hairdresser. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Allen and two brothers, Lewis Allen and Lloyd Allen.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband of over 63 years, Hugh Edward; son, Scott Edwards; daughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Marty Duren; a sister, Margie Smith; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
According to Mrs. Edwards wishes, she will be cremated and there are no plans for a memorial service at this time.
