Carol Ellisor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home - Huntsville on Aug. 7, 2025.
Carol Lee Ellisor was born on February 27, 1942, in Galveston, Texas, and passed away on August 4, 2025, in Huntsville, Texas, surrounded by her family. A devoted mother, cherished Mammaw, and beloved friend, Carol was known for her boundless love, energy, and generosity. She treated everyone with kindness and compassion, always ready to offer advice or simply a listening ear. Her deep faith in God, love for her family, and joy in gardening were central to her life. Carol was the heart of her family-a true matriarch who helped her loved ones heal through countless losses. After the passing of their parents, she opened her home and heart to her granddaughters, raising them with unwavering devotion, fairness, and love. She gave selflessly, always making sure her family had what they needed, no matter the sacrifice. Her presence was a source of comfort, stability, and strength to all who knew her. She welcomed anyone in need with open arms, offering a home to both people and animals alike. For 21 courageous years, she faced cancer with grace and determination, never losing her generous spirit or her will to love and care for others. Carol is survived by her son, John Ellisor; her grandchildren Natalie and Victoria Stephenson, William and Garrett Laney, Clayton Leeth, and Justin Leeth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ellisor; her daughters Jeanie Stephenson, Cathi Laney, and Terri Leeth; and her siblings Jean Kenney, Allen Turner, Eddy Turner, and Larry Turner. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Boswell Baptist Church and she will be laid to rest following services at Boswell Cemetery.
