Carol Engelman Embry, age 83, of Gulfport, passed away on December 6, 2024.
She was preceded by her parents, Leon and Ruby Engelman; her brother Andrew Engelmann; and her sisters, Laura Engelman and Rosalind Engelmann-Blahuta.
Carol is survived by her husband of 52 years, Walter Scott Embry; her daughter, Rebekah (Jonathan) Fikes; her siblings, Jeanette Haney, Judy Miles, and Cindy Henderson; and her grandchild, Ayden Fikes.
Carol earned her master’s degree in music, she taught music for 32 years, with most of this time spent in the Long Beach School District. She loved music and art, especially piano, singing, painting and drawing. Carol was a member of the First Baptist Church in Long Beach, she was a loving mother, wife, and nana. She read her bible daily and loved the Lord. In her last days, she was surrounded by her husband, daughter, grandson, and son-in-law. We were blessed to spend that time with her and are very thankful she is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
