Carol King Etzel's work here concluded on September 17, 2025, at the age of 74. Born April 5, 1951, to Marian and Paul King and youngest sister to Barbara and Judy, this Hempfield High School and Boston University graduate would later go on to a long career in occupational therapy. In 1980, Carol co-founded Associated Occupational Therapists, Inc., a successful private OT Practice in western Pennsylvania.

Carol's greatest joy was her family, and she loved her husband of 47 years, Jack, who predeceased her by just 85 days. She was renowned for her sharp wit, strong will, solid business sense, and soft spot for furry friends; her beloved daughters Sarah (Scott) and Megan (Jeremy) are proud to carry on this legacy.

A private family ceremony will be held. In lieu of flowers, please celebrate Carol's memory by bargain shopping with your loved ones, refilling the secret candy drawer, and celebrating each festive holiday. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave. Irwin, Pa 15642. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.ottfuneralhome.com

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Carol, I will miss your smile and laugh and our phone conversations. You were more than an Aunt to me; you were a best friend. So many wonderful memories. Love you always, Suz
