Carol FAULKNER, 67, of Scio, NY, went home to heaven on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Allegany County Comfort House with her family by her side.
She was born February 18, 1958, in Hornell, the daughter of the late Donald and Lois (Fuller) Maybee. On January 1, 2020, (one of the best days of her life) down by the river on Cottage Bridge Road in Scio, she married Ronald Faulkner, who survives.
Carol was raised in Scio, growing up on Maybee Farms, and was a 1976 graduate of Scio Central School. She continued her education with The Continental School of Beauty, opening her own beautician shop, The Cutting Tree in Scio. Her other work history included, cleaning houses, Anderson Shortell, State Auctions, and being a substitute teacher’s aide. She was a member of the Scio Church of Christ, Bradford Church of Christ and Hillside Wesleyan Church throughout her life. She loved being around water, especially Lake Erie; enjoyed gardening & landscaping, loved animals, and love decorating her home, she also loved going to thrift stores and garage sales. She will be remembered as one who brought joy and laughter to everyone.
In addition to her husband of 5 years, Ron, she is survived by: a daughter, Amber Lynn (Adam) Rogowski of Scio; two grandchildren, Hannah Kathleen and (soon to arrive) Alexander Calvin; her two sisters, Cheryl (Michael) Smith of Ohio and Cindy (Ross) LoIacono of Jamestown; as well as three nephews, Aaron and Todd Smith and Ryan LoIacono and their families. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by: two brothers, Charles and Calvin Maybee.
She is also survived by her countless friends and acquaintances, for once you met her, you could never forget her.
Friends are invited to call on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 6 – 8 PM at the Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Cremation, Crowell Chapel, of Wellsville, 296 North Main Street. Her Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11 am in the funeral home.
