Carol Louise Feldhoff, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.
Born on February 22, 1935, to Albert and Nanette Wiser, Carol spent her entire life in Louisville, where she quietly touched the lives of those around her with steadfast love and a strong, unshakable spirit. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, Carol's quiet strength and unique personality left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Though reserved and private by nature, Carol had a vibrant inner world and wasn't afraid to speak her mind. She found joy in the simple things—spending time at home, sharing moments with family, and doting on her cherished fur baby, Patti, who brought her immeasurable comfort and companionship over the years.
Carol enjoyed a number of pastimes that brought her both entertainment and pride. Whether she was skillfully working on her embroidery, trying her luck at the casino, or rooting enthusiastically for her favorite team, the UK Wildcats, she did it with passion and a spark that never dimmed. She also found great joy in tuning into her favorite TV shows—Dancing with the Stars, Family Feud, and The Price is Right—which brought her laughter, excitement, and a connection to the world around her.
Carol lived life on her own terms, with dignity, quiet grace, and a dash of spirited candor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Wiser and Nanette Wurster Wiser; and a sister, Norma Lee Ballou.
Left to cherish her memory, Carol is survived by her son, Eric Feldhoff (Mary); brother, Albert “Boyse” Wiser Jr. (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Jay Stivers (Sarah) and Chris Stivers (Sara); great-grandchildren, Jaython, Reece, and Shelby; niece, Cheryl Bibelhauser; her beloved fur baby, Patti; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A funeral service for Ms. Carol Feldhoff will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service. Burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West will follow the funeral service.
