Alice Marie Cahoe, 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at her home in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on October 29, 1944, to Juanita Webb in Louisville, where she would spend her life rooted in love, family, and faith.
Alice was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Married for 62 years, she approached every role in her life with unwavering loyalty and a generous heart; a gesture Michael would repay as her dedicated caregiver over her final 4 years. She was outgoing and warm, a woman who never met a stranger. Young and old alike were drawn to her kindness, and she left a positive, lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Alice spent more than 34 years as a valued employee at Double Envelope. She was also a longtime member of the Louisville First Church of the Nazarene, where her faith flourished. Reading her Bible daily brought her comfort, joy, and strength, and she lived her life as a reflection of her deep belief in God.
Alice loved animals and would feed any creature she could, always finding joy in caring for others—whether human or furry. In her spare time, she cherished moments spent with family and looked forward to her Saturday shopping and out-to-eat adventures with Deborah. Simple pleasures—family, faith, and companionship—meant the most to her.
Alice will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her warmth, generosity, and steadfast love leave behind a legacy that will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched.
Alice is preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Schmidt Webb; and 2 brothers, Jimmy Webb and David Webb.
Left to cherish her memory, Alice is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Michael Cahoe; daughter, Deborah Vernon; grandson, Christopher Vernon (Chelsea); great-grandsons, Kingston Vernon and Kash Vernon; step great-granddaughters, Kinzley, Khiley, and Kohan; brothers, Steve Webb, Jack Webb, and Bill Webb; sisters, Alene Huddleston and Susan York; many nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A funeral service for Mrs. Alice Cahoe will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky.
