Martha L. Davis, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on July 30, 1946, to James and Dorothy Nalley, Martha grew up surrounded by the warmth of a close-knit family—a foundation that shaped the loving, generous woman she became.

Martha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Caring for others was at the heart of who she was. Whether tending to her own family or providing daycare to countless children over the years, Martha’s gentle spirit and unwavering patience touched many lives. She had a gift for making others feel safe, cherished, and unconditionally loved.

Some of her happiest memories were made during cherished trips to Aruba with Danny, Sissy, and Mike—adventures filled with laughter, sunshine, and togetherness. She also cherished lunches with Helen, Denise, Mike and Kevin. Gathering 2-3 times a week to share each others company. A faithful Catholic throughout her life, Martha lived her values through kindness, humility, and compassion. She was also a wonderful cook, known especially for her delicious lasagna and cherry cobbler, dishes that will be remembered—and missed—by all who gathered at her table.

Though she could be a bit stubborn at times, Martha was never one to lose her temper. She was steady, calm, and warm-hearted, offering grace and gentleness in every situation. She treasured her monthly gatherings with all her siblings, moments that strengthened the family bonds she held so dear.

In her quieter moments, Martha enjoyed reading, crocheting, and playing Uno with her grandchildren—simple joys that filled her days with comfort and laughter.

Martha will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, patience, and generosity lives on in the hearts of her family and the many people whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.

Martha is preceded in death by her siblings, Sissy Spine and Tony Nalley; and her parents, James Nalley and Dorothy Reddicks Nalley.

Left to cherish her memory, Martha is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Danny Davis; children, Paul Davis and Rachel Barnett (Tim); grandchildren, Aaron Davis (KT), Anthony Davis, Tabitha Arms, Marcus Keiser, Meagan Keiser, Chloe Barnett, and Stone Barnett; great-grandchild, Wade Camacho; siblings, Betty Nalley, Helen Kendall (Don), Mike Spine, Paula Miller, Ricky Nalley (Michelle), Bruce Nalley (Teressa), Phil Nalley (Patti), Mark Nalley (Cheryl), and David Nalley (Judy); lifelong friends, John and Denise Ruffra; and a host of extended family and close friends.
