Stephen “Stevie” Elbert Brown, 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Stevie was born on September 23, 1955, to Elbert and Verna Mae Brown in Louisville.
He was a good student and athlete during his high school years and loved spending time fishing with family and friends. Known for his great personality and funny sense of humor, Stevie brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.
In his spare time, he enjoyed being with his family and listening to his favorite music. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Stevie is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Howard Brown and Verna Mae Jarboe McGrath.
Left to cherish his memory, Stevie is survived by his siblings, Monte Brown (Katie) and Anita Maupin (Danny); nieces/nephews, Nikki Maupin, Jason Maupin (Kim), Jesse Maupin (Tammy), and Keith Brown (Megan); great-nieces/nephews, Mark Brown III, Savannah Maupin, Amber Maupin, Hunter Maupin, and Maeve Brown.
A funeral mass for Mr. Stevie Brown will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Drive, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 3 PM to 7 PM, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. Burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West will follow the funeral mass.
