Robert Jerome “Jerry” Claypool, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on February 1, 2026.
Born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired CSX Railroad employee. Jerry was a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved fishing, sports, cars, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Anna Claypool; his children, Robert Jerome Claypool, Jr. and Jeri Ann Claypool; and a loving circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held February 13, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky, with Pastor Robert C. Drake officiating.
