Carol Ann Gable

Carol Ann Gable, age 80, of Venetia, formerly Wheeling, WV, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 4, 2024.
Born on May 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Anna Schlemmer.
Beloved wife of over 54 years to the late Clark Gable; loving mother of Susan (Frank) Wentzel of South Park, PA, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Gable of Bethel Park, PA, and Brian (Carol) Gable of New Market, Maryland; cherished GiGi of Eric Frazier, Taylor and Jacob Wentzel, Helena and Merris Gable, Rebecca, Bridger and Bodie Gable; dear sister of the late Barbara "Sue" (the late Thomas) Smith; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Carol was a devout member of Peters Creek Presbyterian in Venetia and former member of St. John's Church of Christ in Wheeling, WV. She loved gardening and watching wildlife out of her window. After retirement, she did a lot of volunteer work with Food & Friends and the Backpack Project. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren especially attending sporting and dance events. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 9:30 -11 am at Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 250 Brookwood Rd., Venetia, PA 15367. A service will be held at the church immediately following visitation at 11 am.
