Carol A. Glowa

Carol A. (Fabian) Glowa, age 76, of Kennedy Township, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.  She was born in McKees Rocks on December 26, 1946 to the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Stocklas) Fabian. She was the beloved wife of 54 years to Carl Jacob Glowa, loving mother of Caren Glowa and Crissy (David) Stahurski and cherished grandmother of Luke and Joey Stahurski. Carol was the sister of Paula (Mark) Etherington, Andrew (Linda) Fabian, and the late Robert (Georgianne) Fabian and also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Carol enjoyed swimming, cooking, jewelry, flowers, traveling and was an avid reader.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed by her family.  As per Carol's wishes, service and interment were private.  Donations in Carol's memory may be made to Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, 4724 Baum Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15213 or (www.lbph@carnegielibrary.org).  Arrangements entrusted to McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 334 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis (Kennedy Township) PA 15108.
