Carol D. Goeke

Davis, IL – Carol D. Goeke, age 85, passed away on June 6, 2025 while surrounded by her family at her daughter, Lori's home. She was born on April 20, 1940 to Benart and Elva (Thostenson) Anderson. She married Clifford Goeke on March 15, 1958 in Brodhead.
Carol was a home maker while raising her three daughters. She later became a custodian at Dakota Elementary School. She enjoyed cooking and keeping her home spotless. Her "happy place" was in the kitchen where she would offer food and drink to visitors. She enjoyed gathering her family together which always included grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul Church of Epleyanna in Davis.
Carol is survived by her husband, Cliff; two daughters, Jody (Brian) Schoeny and Lori Goeke of Davis; a son-in-law, Randy (Dina) Dornink of Polo; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Anderson and Donna Hobbs; brothers-in-law, Merle Goeke and Gary Altenbernd; 6 grandchildren, Jason (Kevin) Dornink, Charity (Pete) Rhode, Josh (Dianna) Dornink, Chris (Casey) Dornink, Trevor (Rachel) Schoeny and Treston (Whitney) Schoeny;12 great grandchildren, Zach, HaLeigh, Mason, Levi, Landon, Carson, Hudson, Jackson, Aubrey, Sam, Tessa and Sydney; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Walt and Jerry Anderson, sisters, Shirley (Sherman) Scheidegger and Donna (Levi) Scheidegger; sister-in-law, Neva Altenbernd, Fern (Darrell) Wilson and Shirley Goeke; her daughter, Connie Dornink and a grandson, Ryan Goeke.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family in Carol's name.
Memorial services will be held at the St. Paul of Epleyanna Church, 8800 E. Epleyanna Road in Davis on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM. A visitation will also be held at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
