Carol R. Grecco, age 86 of Stoneham, died on Monday January 29 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Charlestown on November 14, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Hilmar and Margaret (Reddington) Klamans.
Carol was a devoted daughter, wife, daughter-in-law, Mother, Nana, Gigi, Aunt, and friend.
Her love of family and strong faith in God and the Blessed Mother was the cornerstone of the life she built with the love of her life, Stephen.
Carol accomplished a feat not many can say they have done. She worked full time until the age of 82 when life had other plans for her.
She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen A. Grecco. She was the loving mother of Stephanie Joacine and her husband Licot of Roxbury, Paula Rosa of Gloucester, Andrea Mosca and her husband Paul of Stoneham, and Carol Mary Grecco and her partner Brian Minor of Methuen. She was the sister of Victor P. Klamans and his partner Chris Law of Ipswich, and the late Rita Amoroso and Hilmar Klamans Jr. Carol was the grandmother of Valentine Howell Jr. and his fiancé Renea, Alexander Jean, Carlo Rosa, Alyshia Bova and her husband Anthony, Steven Mosca and his fiancé Nicole Thistle, and Michael Mosca and his girlfriend Amanda DePesa. Carol was also the great grandmother of Anaiyah Howell and Josiah Steele.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Monday February 5 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Sunday from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to either Compassus Hospice, 790 Turnpike St., #202, North Andover, MA 01845 or the cure Alzheimer’s Fund, Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts.
